This page explains what personal data Clausy collects, why we collect it, and how you can manage it. This is a factual summary and not legal advice.

What we collect

• Participant details: name, email and any optional info you provide (e.g. wishlist).
• Technical info: minimal data such as IP and browser for analytics and abuse prevention.

Why we collect it

We use your name and email to register you for events, send verification and event notifications, and to run the Secret Santa matching for events you join.

How we store & process data

Participant data is stored in Firestore (Google Cloud). Emails are delivered by a third-party email provider. We use HTTPS/TLS in transit and access controls to limit who can access the data.

Sharing & third parties

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers that help run the service (Firebase, email provider). Those providers act as processors — consult their policies for details.

Retention

Participant data is kept for the duration of the event unless you request deletion.
